DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing's claims another Top 10 Overall Result at the MXGP of Turkey.
DIGA Procross MX2 rider Isak Gifting claimed 10th overall while crashes for Simon Langenfelder in both races resulted in an 18th place result.
· Top-10 overall finishes for Isak Gifting
· Crashes slow down Simon Langenfelder
· MXGP returns in just three days’ time for round nine
Isak Gifting: “It was a pretty warm day here in Turkey and a bit of an up and down day for me. My starts were good in both races, I just got shuffled back in the early part of each moto. For the second race, we made some pretty big setting changes on the suspension, and this really helped. I felt much better on the bike and I think this will really help going forwards. I’m pretty happy with 10th overall and with how I felt in race two, I think I can be much higher up on Wednesday.”
DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing’s Isak Gifting was another rider to put together two consistent results in Turkey. Our MX2 racer enjoyed great starts in both motos and after his race one 13th, opted to make a change to the suspension set-up on his MC 250F. The revision proved to be fruitful, with the Swede feeling much more at home on the hardpack soil and securing 11th in race two for 10th overall.
For Simon Längenfelder, the MXGP of Turkey was a frustrating one with multiple crashes leading to a 19th-place finish in race one. Looking to make up for lost points in the second moto, the young German crashed again and would ultimately bring his MC 250F home in 15th position.
Simon Längenfelder: "Today was another good step in the right direction despite the results not really showing it. My speed is really good, so it was really frustrating to be taken out in both races as well as the issue I had with the gate in moto one. I had to fight for every position in each moto and I moved up really well. But overall, it should have been better. Onto the next one in Turkey."
DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing will continue their FIM Motocross World Championship campaigns in just three days’ time as they return to the Afyonkarahisar circuit on September 8 for round nine of the series.
